About the game
Get your apron on and your good humor ready, because in Veggies, you'll set up the most charming and profitable market stall in town! In quick 10-20 minute rounds, 2-4 players take turns placing cards to create a 2x3 layout representing their fruit and vegetable stand. Each card features six spaces with delights like strawberries, bananas, and carrots, but watch out for surprises: empty pallets worth nothing and, even worse, sneaky little rats that cost precious points! The gameplay is delightful: on each turn, you choose a card from your hand or the table and position it in your play area. The trick is that you can overlap cards, creating layers and exploring new visual and scoring combinations. If you play from your hand, you also take a card from the table to complete your turn. When everyone has assembled their stalls with eight cards, the magic happens: scoring! You earn points for the largest group of a chosen vegetable or fruit, multiplied by the size of your biggest 'stock' of that delicacy. But pay attention: other players also score for their produce, so it's a tight race to dominate one type of item while ensuring others don't get too far ahead. And, of course, try to cover those rats before they scare away the customers! Veggies is a light, strategic game with a touch of luck, perfect for those who enjoy optimizing space and planning moves in a lighthearted and fun theme.
