About the game
What you do in a play session
Ravine is a fast‑paced, cooperative card game that throws you and your crew into the aftermath of a plane crash. Each session lasts about 15‑20 minutes, perfect for a quick yet tense gaming break. The goal is straightforward: survive the night. During the day, players risk hearts – the game’s sanity tokens – to leave camp, forage for food, wood and other supplies. Exploration cards are drawn, and the group decides whether to split up or stay together, trading resources as they go. At sunset, everyone shares their finds and uses crafting cards to build a fire, construct shelters, or prepare meals. If the team manages to set everything up before darkness falls, they face the night‑event cards: harsh weather, wild animals and other surprises that can rapidly drain hearts. When a player loses all hearts, they go mad and are eliminated, reducing the group’s chances of success. The game ends when all night cards are survived – a win – or when collective sanity hits zero – a loss. Push‑your‑luck elements appear when you choose how far to risk while foraging, while the trading mechanic lets players swap items, sparking cooperative moments and occasional friendly tension. The minimalist design relies solely on cards and a few tokens, making setup and transport a breeze. Although the original text is in English, the rules are clear enough for players familiar with light‑weight card games. Ravine delivers a tense survival vibe with an agile tempo that keeps the table engaged from start to finish.
