About the game
What you do in a play session
Regroup! Chicken Army, known as CocoriCOMBATE! in Brazil, puts you in charge of an army of warrior chickens or spell‑casting fowls. Each match is quick (10‑20 minutes) and supports 2‑4 players, making it ideal for a short yet strategic showdown. On your turn you draw a card and place it over another on your grid, building layers that must match physical attack with physical defense or magical attack with magical defense (sword‑shield or wand‑barrier). Once everyone has arranged their cards, the round moves into combat: damage is calculated based on connected chickens of the same type, and each player can deal or absorb physical or magical damage. The last army still standing wins the battle.
The game shines thanks to its layering mechanic, forcing you to think about how to stack cards for powerful combos, and its pattern‑building aspect, where positioning chickens on the board creates attack or defense bonuses. The artwork is humorously done, reinforcing the light‑hearted vibe of a chicken clash. While the rules are simple, juggling both physical and magical attack/defense adds enough depth to keep players coming back. With a weight of 1.4/5, Regroup! Chicken Army is easy for beginners yet still offers tactical challenges for seasoned card‑game fans who enjoy fantasy themes. It’s perfect for quick sessions with friends or as a warm‑up before a heavier game.
