Roll Camera!: The Filmmaking Board Game

Grab your popcorn and adjust the clapperboard, because in Roll Camera! you step into the shoes of movie producers at a film company on the brink of collapse. This is your last chance to save the studio with a hit film, or obscurity will be your fate! You'll need to masterfully manage resources like time and money, ensuring the movie has the required quality and that the story makes some sense. It's a race against the clock and the budget!

This is a cooperative (or solo!) dice worker placement game where each roll of the 'crew' dice represents a different production department: camera, light, sound, actors, art, and visual effects. Each player takes on a key role on the team, such as Director, Producer, or The Star, with unique abilities and action spaces on their individual board. The goal is to position the dice to complete the 'shots' that match the required patterns on the scene cards, all while dealing with the inevitable problems that arise on set.

To help out, you can use 'Idea' cards and hold production meetings. But beware, time and money are finite resources, and running out means the end of the film (and the studio!). Furthermore, the final quality of the feature film must reach a minimum level for victory. At the end, the game culminates in the 'premiere' of your movie, with the sequence of completed shots forming a unique narrative. It's an immersive experience that truly makes you feel the drama and comedy of making a movie!
