About the game
In Ronin, you step into the shoes of a disgraced samurai, haunted by a dark past that needs uncovering. Your journey will take you through the roads of an imaginary feudal Japan, visiting villages and towns in search of clues about your history. Armed with your sword and a resilient spirit, you'll face enemies, rivals, and even supernatural creatures trying to stop your pilgrimage. Three mysterious villains, connected to your past, will also cross your path, and the big question is: what's your connection to the main villain, and why does he care so much about you? The game allows you to customize your ronin with choices about fighting style, appearance, family background, and secrets. You'll also have to deal with recurring nightmares, dreams of unknown origin and meaning, but which are crucial for the development of your saga. Beyond combat, prepare to make difficult moral decisions that will shape your path in search of truth. Ronin is a solo narrative experience where the rules act as anchors for the setting, guiding your journey through dice rolls and crucial choices. Gain or lose Honor with each step, encounter allies or enemies (who might even become friends!), and watch your character transform with every decision. Surprises and revelations ensure that the development and evolution of your ronin are always captivating and surprising. You'll only need the book, a pencil, and two six-sided dice (one light and one dark, representing Yin Yang).
