Goal of the Game

The goal of Jungle Brawl is to be the last player with life points! You must use your cards to deal damage to opponents while trying to maintain your physical integrity so you are not eliminated.

Setup

To start the fun, follow these steps:

  1. Separate the components: the brawl cards, the life cards, and the turn order card.
  2. Prepare the table by designating a space for the active area (01) and a space for the discard pile (02).
  3. Each player receives a life points card (03).
  4. Deal three brawl cards to each player. Each player must choose one of these cards and place it, face down, on top of their life points card (04), leaving only the number 10 visible.
  5. Shuffle the remaining brawl cards (05) and place them in the center of the table within reach of everyone.
  6. Place the turn order card near the deck, with the yellow side facing up.

Gameplay Flow

The game follows a turn flow that rotates in the direction indicated by the turn order card. The first player to play is the last player who doubled something.

The structure of a turn works as follows:

Starting a Brawl

To start a brawl, the player must draw cards until they have 3 cards in hand and play one of them into the active area, ending their turn.

Reaction or Resolution

The next player has two options:

  • React to an attack: The player can play a card identical to the one previously played or a special card. By doing this, they end their turn and the next player must decide whether to react or resolve.
  • Resolve the active area: The player decides not to react and must process what is on the table.

Consequences of Resolution

When resolving the active area, the player must:

  1. Sum the effects of the cards present.
  2. Execute the effects.
  3. Take the cards from the active area and place them in the discard pile.
  4. After that, this player must start a brawl.

Actions and How to Play

During the game, you will encounter different types of cards and effects:

Card Types

  • Brawl Cards: Common cards used to attack or heal.
  • Special Cards: Cards with unique abilities that can change the course of the match.

Card Actions and Effects

  • STUNNING ARROW: Deals 2 points of damage to the player who resolves the active area.
  • DRAIN: Deals 2 points of damage to the player who resolves the active area and heals 1 life point for the player preceding the one who resolves the active area (up to a maximum of 10).
  • ELECTRIFY: Deals 3 points of damage to the player who resolves the active area.
  • LICK WOUNDS: Deals 1 point of damage to the player who resolves the active area and heals 2 life points for the player preceding the one who resolves the active area (up to a maximum of 10).
  • IMITATE (SPECIAL): Copies the effects of the last card played. This card remains an imitation card and can only be subject to the "React to an attack" effect by another special card.
  • REFLECT (SPECIAL): Flips the turn order card. The previous player becomes the target and must resolve the active area or react to the card.
  • STEAL (SPECIAL): The next player becomes the target and must resolve the active area or react to the card.

Damage and Healing Mechanics:

  • Damage: The current player must lose one life point for each damage on the cards, moving the card on top of the life points card downward.
  • Healing: The player preceding the one who resolves the active area recovers one life point for each heal that was in the active area, moving the card on top of the life points card upward (up to a maximum of 10).

End of Game and Scoring

The game ends when a player loses all their life points. When this happens, that player is eliminated. The player preceding the one who resolves the active area draws their reward until they have 3 brawl cards in hand, and the next player must start a brawl. The winner is the last player remaining with life points.
