About the game
What you do in a play session
Ruthless Returns is a satirical business strategy game where everyone acts simultaneously—no mercy, no downtime. Each round is a fiscal year: you get a hand of cards, pick one, and pass the rest, 7 Wonders-style. Hire lawyers, stir up scandals, plant shady evidence, or poach your rival’s star employee—or just focus on building the best product on the market. Every strategy can win if executed well, thanks to the draft system ensuring a bad hand isn’t game over. At year-end, lawsuits are settled in court, and losing a case usually means bankruptcy. Offshore accounts, greenwashing, spin doctors, and a demanding board round out the satire. It’s the Panama Papers universe, but this time the schemers are at your table. The richest CEO after three fiscal years wins. Success here is measured in liquidity, not morals. Includes team mode (2v2, 2v2v2) and four expansions.
