About the game
Get ready to build and conquer in Santorini, a game that takes the essence of a 2004 abstract classic and elevates it to a new level, with thematic touches of Greek mythology! Developed and refined over more than 30 years by mathematician Dr. Gordon Hamilton, this game is an accessible strategy gem, yet with a depth that will surprise even the most experienced players. It's the kind of game you can teach a child in school and still challenge a hardcore strategist.

The big differentiator in Santorini is the variable player powers. Imagine having 40 mythical god and hero cards, each with a unique ability that completely changes the game's dynamic! This ensures incredible replayability and makes every match a new and exciting experience.

The rules are super simple, contributing to its accessibility. Each turn, you do two things: first, move one of your builders to an adjacent space. You can move on the same level, step up one level, or step down any number of levels. After moving, you build a building level next to the builder you just moved. If you are building on the third level, instead of a block, you place a dome, which removes that space from play. The goal? Be the first to move one of your builders to the third level of a building. Simple, elegant, and addictive! With 3D components that bring the island to life, Santorini is a visual and strategic delight.
