About the game
What you do in a play session
Get ready to become a top-notch investigative journalist in ScandalOh!, a deduction game that places you at the heart of a bombshell scandal! Each game presents a new opportunity to crack an intriguing case: what's the gossip, which celebrity is involved, and which newspaper will break the story? To succeed, you'll need a nose for news, keep a close eye on celebrities and their contacts, interrogate editors, sniff out clues around the city, and consult your sources. And the best (or worst?) part is you'll have to do all this while trading information with your fellow journalists or trying to keep it all from them. It's a true test of your deductive skills!
The game revolves around a clever card system. Each player starts with seven cards, which have a point value (1 or 2 points, indicating the amount of information) and references about the subject. On your turn, you ask for information about three references that interest you. Other players can offer you cards containing those references, and you can negotiate by trading cards from your hand that add up to the same point value. At the end of each round, there's a chance to try and uncover the scandal. If no one gets it right, part of your hand is discarded, and new cards are drawn. Whoever uncovers the scandal first claims the glory (and the headline!). With up to 6 players and games lasting between 45 and 75 minutes, ScandalOh! is perfect for those who enjoy a good mystery with a touch of journalistic intrigue and plenty of deduction.
