About the game
What you do in a play session
The dice in Sequoia aren't just for adding a touch of luck; they are tools that force you into difficult decisions. Each roll presents a range of options, but none of them will be trivial. You'll have to grapple with randomness to try and shape your trees' growth as you intend. At the end of the 10 rounds, whoever has the tallest tree in each forest claims the main victory points. Second place gets a small consolation prize, but the goal is to be number one. Prepare for a game that is pure "choose your battles" strategy, where every move is considered, and tension builds with each round, culminating in finishes that can be decided by the narrowest of margins in exciting tie-breaker rounds. It's a quick and strategic duel against other players and, in a way, against luck itself.
