เสียกรุง (Sia Krung)

Sia Krung (The Fall of Ayutthaya) is a historical hidden role and political strategy board game inspired by the First Fall of Ayutthaya (1569), one of the most significant events in Thai history. During King Bayinnaung's campaign against the Kingdom of Ayutthaya, Burmese forces surrounded the capital for an extended period. Although the city's fortifications made direct assault difficult, the kingdom ultimately fell after internal political conflict and betrayal weakened its defenses. In the game, 4–6 players take on the roles of nobles, military commanders, and influential figures responsible for defending the kingdom. Players must cooperate to manage resources, strengthen the city's defenses, and respond to external threats. However, not everyone can be trusted. Among the defenders may be agents secretly working to undermine the kingdom from within. The game combines hidden roles, bluffing, deduction, negotiation, and resource management. Players must evaluate incomplete information, build alliances, and determine whom they can trust while balancing the needs of the kingdom against their own suspicions. One of the game's central mechanics is the Samuhanayok System, inspired by the historical office of the kingdom's chief administrator. A player may be appointed as Samuhanayok and receives authority represented by the Royal Sword of Justice. This role allows the holder to issue commands, dismiss officials, and prosecute suspected traitors. However, excessive use of power may reduce public trust. If confidence in the Samuhanayok collapses, the remaining nobles may unite to launch a revolution and remove the administration from power. In addition to its standard hidden-role mode for 4–6 players, Sia Krung includes Solo and Cooperative modes that offer alternative ways to experience the game's strategic systems. Designed for both entertainment and educational purposes, Sia Krung explores themes of leadership, political conflict, trust, and cooperation during a defining period of Thai history. While inspired by historical events, the gameplay is not intended to be a strict historical simulation.
