About the game
What you do in a play session
In SINNERS, you dive into a dark fantasy world, taking on the role of a condemned individual with multiple sentences for crimes you absolutely committed. Society sees you as an unrepentant sinner, and it's not wrong. But then the authorities make you an offer you simply can't refuse: The Tower, your new home, has fallen under the control of dark mystical forces. If you can fight through multiple levels of the prison and slay these corrupting forces, your sentence will be commuted to just one life sentence. How can you refuse an offer like that?
Your main goal is to take down the Final BOSS. To do this, you need to explore the prison and uncover its location. Each turn, you draw one location card and decide whether you want to 'quick search' or 'investigate' the area. A quick search gives you a single event card, each with a unique random occurrence. Investigating, on the other hand, allows you to draw between 1 and 4 cards from a more diverse deck, which includes NPCs, new locations, and, of course, opponents. Once all location cards have been exhausted, you will reveal one of the three potential Final Bosses and one of three final locations, each with modifiers that impact the decisive battle. Combat and skill checks are resolved through dice rolls. Get ready for a dangerous journey full of tough choices!
