About the game
What you do in a play session
Sly3 is a lightning‑fast card game for 2‑6 players that blends racing, speed matching, and that beloved take‑that feel. The goal? Empty three distinct zones before anyone else: your hand, your open (face‑up) cards, and your Sly Cards, which sit face‑down and are only revealed when played. On your turn you play a card equal to or higher than the top of the central pile; if you can’t, you must scoop up the whole pile, slowing your progress. The heart of the game is the Chaos Rule: any player holding a matching card can play it out of turn, interrupting opponents at any moment—creating tension and plenty of laughs. Special cards spice things up: 7 forces a low play, 9 skips the next player, the Wild Paw works on anything, and Swipe clears the pile and grants an extra turn. A round lasts 5‑20 minutes, perfect for quick sessions or as a warm‑up before heavier games. The learning curve is virtually nonexistent; the rules click in minutes and the fun starts right away, appealing to kids as young as 7 and grandparents up to 78. Tested with 39 first‑time players at PrezCon 2026, it scored 4.2/5 for fun and 4.5/5 for ease of learning. In short, Sly3 delivers rapid action, constant interaction, and plenty of chances to flip the game on its head.
