Hey board game enthusiasts! Ready for a dose of humor and strategy with a touch of curses? Hex Effects is a super easy-to-learn 'take that' style card game where the goal is to get rid of the curses haunting you, using remedies that, guess what, might give you even more problems! Inspired by the classic Side Effects, this game promises laughs and twists with every turn.
The game kicks off with each player receiving four Hex cards, face up, forming their 'Shadow'. The first to cure all Hexes in their Shadow claims victory. The remaining Hexes are shuffled into the main deck, and everyone draws four more cards into their hand, kept secret. On your turn, you draw two cards and have two actions to perform. If you have a Remedy card in hand that matches one of your Hexes, you can play it on top of that Hex, getting closer to winning. But here's the catch: each Remedy has a list of 'side effects' – other Hexes that you become vulnerable to receiving from your opponents! So, you cure one, but open yourself up to another. The fun continues until someone manages to get rid of all their Hexes. Featuring original artwork by Pillbox Games, Hex Effects is the perfect choice for those who enjoy direct interaction and a bit of controlled chaos at the table. Will you be the master of Remedies or end up with a Shadow full of Hexes?
