Space Aztecs thrusts you into an alien invasion of the Aztec empire. Played by 2‑6 players in about 15 minutes, the game blends colorful cards, memory, and a dash of bluffing. At the start of each round, eight face‑down piles sit around the table. Every player picks a pile, flips it over, and takes one card to play. Each card displays a time of day; the lowest time goes first and also becomes the first player for the next round. Cards belong to families – Warriors, High Society, Villagers, Agency, and Codex – each offering its own scoring method or ability to trigger UFO attacks. You score by protecting citizens, winning UFO battles, or erecting temples. The game ends when a set number of piles run out or a certain count of UFOs has been launched, and the player with the most points wins. The artwork mixes Aztec motifs with sci‑fi humor, creating a vibrant, tongue‑in‑cheek look. Rules are easy enough for kids, yet the mix of closed drafting, time‑based turn order, and deduction gives depth for seasoned gamers. A beginner variant makes it accessible even to those new to card games. In short, Space Aztecs offers a fast, chaotic, and highly entertaining experience, ideal for short sessions or as a warm‑up for a game night.
