About the game

What you do in a play session

Hey everyone! Ready to blast off on a trip back to the Golden Age of Space Exploration? In Space Explorers, you take on the role of a head of a research hub, in an exciting race against other hubs to bring satellites, spaceships, and orbital stations to life. The goal is to recruit humanity's brightest minds, forming teams of specialists with unique abilities. Each specialist you bring to your team might grant you a new capability, but it could also deactivate the ability of the specialist at the top of your division. See the twist? You've got to carefully consider what's more valuable at that moment! The game uses a 'closed-loop' resource system: when recruiting someone, you pass research tokens to your left-hand neighbor. The objective is to accumulate progress points, either by hiring these geniuses or by completing grand space projects. The game ends when all projects are finished or when you've assembled 12 specialists. Whoever has the most points wins! It's a quick game, lasting about 20 to 40 minutes, ideal for 1 to 4 players, cleverly blending open drafting and set collection mechanics. Perfect for those who enjoy a space theme with a dash of economic strategy and hand management.
