About the game

What you do in a play session

Step into the magical and colorful world of Spectaculum, where you take on the role of a patron of traveling shows! This is an era of wandering circuses, with fantastic performers, exotic animals, and stories that enchanted entire villages. Your mission is to guide four shows through the kingdom, deciding which paths they will take. Each performance can earn warm applause or embarrassing boos, depending on its success. This is where your shrewdness comes in: which artists will you invest your money in? Remember, only successful shows will bring prosperity to your coffers. Spectaculum combines tile-placement mechanics to form the kingdom map, market speculation to guess which shows will be most popular, and resource management to ensure you don't go bankrupt. Interaction occurs through competing for areas and influencing the success of the shows. With quick 30-45 minute games for 2-4 players, it's an accessible game, yet with interesting strategic decisions. Whoever proves to be the most cunning patron and amasses the greatest fortune wins the glory! It's a great choice for those who enjoy a light game with a touch of economics and fantasy.
