About the game
In Equinox, mystical creatures gather in the forest with one goal: to secure their place in the legendary storybook. The catch? There's only room for four more tales, making the competition fierce! To achieve immortality, you'll need to be shrewder than your opponents and use cunning to your advantage. This betting game, crafted by the master Reiner Knizia (who also brought us Colossal Arena, with some new twists here!), gives you significant agency over the outcome. Each round, you and the other players place numbered power cards in front of the creatures. The creature with the lowest power is eliminated, so careful consideration is needed for where and when to invest. And don't forget the bets! Which creatures will you wager on to make it into the storybook? To turn the tide, you can also utilize the special powers of the creatures themselves. With 14 unique creatures, but only 8 in play each game, the combinations exceed three thousand! This ensures fantastic replayability. And to celebrate the equinox that occurs twice a year, the game features two different box covers, but the contents are identical. So, get ready to bluff, bet, and secure your immortal tale!
