Speculation

Speculation drops you into a stock‑market showdown that lasts about 45 minutes, perfect for 3‑6 players who enjoy a fast‑paced economic vibe. Each player holds nine cards – eight match the eight available companies and the ninth is a dreaded "Bank Holiday" card. At setup you place six movement tiles (numbers 1‑6) in one bag and six action tiles (three trades, a rank‑up, a rank‑down and a neutral) in another. Every round the starting player draws one tile from each bag. If the action tile is a rank change, he may move a company’s price brick up or down one step on the movement track. If it’s a trade tile, all players may buy or sell one share with the bank.

Then everyone simultaneously reveals one of the two cards they keep in hand. If no one plays a Bank Holiday, each company's brick advances on the track by the number shown on the movement tile, skipping occupied spaces. A Bank Holiday halves the movement or stops it altogether, adding a tasty pinch of tension. After the reveal, players draw a fresh card and pass the bags clockwise, making the next player the round’s starter. Play continues until one or more bricks reach the end of the track; that round ends the game, everyone cashes out, and the richest investor wins. The mix of dice rolling, hand management, memory and commodity speculation gives a light‑weight economic game that’s still packed with strategic choices and surprise twists.
