What you do in a play session

In Star Trek Deck Building Game: The Original Series, you take command of a starship and recruit a legendary crew, including Kirk, Spock, and other icons from the show. The game features two distinct modes: 'Explorations,' where you complete missions and face events across space, and 'Infections,' a deadly challenge against intergalactic diseases while trying to save your team. With deck-building mechanics, you acquire new allies, equipment, and abilities, customizing your strategy each game. The game introduces hidden Mission cards, character effects transferable to other versions in the series, and the 'Handheld' keyword, which requires certain cards to be held by characters to be used. Unfortunately, Bandai discontinued the line in 2014, but the game remains a gem for Star Trek and deck-building fans. The thematic immersion is outstanding, with every card reflecting the Original Series universe.
