About the game
What you do in a play session
You know those games that you start thinking are just a silly pastime, and suddenly everyone is shouting in the room? That's Tap 4! If you enjoy fast-paced card games where strategy meets a dash of chaos, you've come to the right place. The dynamics are easy to grasp, but you'll need to keep your eyes peeled: the goal is to get rid of all your cards as quickly as possible.
The game revolves around a central stack. On your turn, you must play a card that has the same value or a lower value than the one currently on top of the stack. You can play cards from your hand or even use those already on the table to make your move. The real 'game changer' happens when someone manages to complete a set of four identical cards or plays the special 'TAP IN' card. At that moment, the player must shout 'TAP 4' (and, if you want to get into the spirit, give the table a little tap!) to clear the stack and keep their turn going.
But don't think it's just pure luck! There are 'trick' cards that can completely shift the game's momentum. The 'TAP IN' card acts as a powerful wild card to clear the pile, while the 'TAPPED OUT' card is every player's nightmare, as it gets passed to an opponent, forcing them to skip their next turn. After several rounds, the player with the lowest score is crowned the ultimate winner. It's the perfect kind of game to take on trips, to parties, or to those family gatherings where everyone wants something dynamic without overly complicated rules that take forever to explain.
