About the game
What you do in a play session
Get ready to embark on a solo adventure in 'The Land of Enin', where you step into the shoes of a fortune-seeking hero, inspired by the tall tales of eccentric relatives. Your main quest is to find the legendary Lost Book of Magic, an artifact said to grant you your own kingdom. To achieve this grand prize, you'll need to complete a series of challenging tasks: steal a key from the town elders, sweet-talk a password out of an old witch, rescue a maiden from a goblin tower, and finally, escort her back to her royal father. As a reward, you'll receive a magic lodestone to guide you through the Tombs of Neuve in your final search for the book. Along the way, expect plenty of monsters to battle, treasures to loot, and magic items to discover as you quest across the land. Gameplay unfolds in two phases each turn: Travel and Questing. During the Travel phase, you'll roll a d10 to determine your movement to a new location, with each location card detailing your movement options based on the roll. The Questing phase involves another d10 roll, which, when cross-referenced with a chart on the location card, dictates the action you take. This can lead to random encounters, requiring further dice rolls to determine outcomes, including combat against monsters that vary based on your experience level. It's a fast-paced and fun dice game, ideal for those who enjoy a blend of luck and adventure in a solitary experience.
