About the game

What you do in a play session

Get your heart racing (and try not to scream), because in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Slaughterhouse, the Sawyer family's hospitality is... let's say... quite visceral. This is a tense 'one vs. many' game where survival is the only goal. On one side, one player controls the sinister Sawyer family — including the iconic Leatherface, the Hitchhiker, the Old Man, and Grandpa. Their objective? Hunt, capture, and drag victims back to the farmhouse to prepare a very unconventional barbecue. On the other side, up to four players take on the role of unlucky trespassers who entered the wrong place at the wrong time. Now, they must navigate the terrifying scenery, evade the chainsaw, and find an exit before becoming the main course.

The experience is centered on tension and desperation. Survivors must cooperate to escape, but fear is constant since the Sawyer family is relentless. A cool feature is the achievement system: as you play, you unlock special cards that carry over into future games, providing a sense of progression and mastery. But don't be fooled by the idea of 'winning' in the traditional sense; here, you don't get a trophy, you simply manage to get out alive. The question remains: do you have the agility to escape Leatherface, or will you end up as an ingredient in the Sawyers' dinner? If you love the slasher movie vibe and games where danger lurks around every corner, this is the game for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers before you buy

5 questions
Is the game hard to learn?
The complexity is medium. If you've played other asymmetric games, you'll pick it up quickly, but movement and combat rules require attention.
Do I need a translation to play?
Yes, there is high language dependency. Cards and scenarios have important text that needs translation for the full experience.
How many people can play?
The game supports 1 to 5 players (1 villain and up to 4 survivors).
How long does a game take?
Usually between 45 and 60 minutes, depending on how quickly the survivors manage (or fail) to escape.
Is it a cooperative game?
It's semi-cooperative. Survivors must help each other to escape, but the struggle is individually desperate against the villain.
