About the game
What you do in a play session
Friday the 13th: Horror at Camp Crystal Lake drops you and up to five friends into the roles of stereotypical camp counselors – the Nerd, the Partier, the Nice Guy, the Final Girl, the Diva and the Jock – who must survive five terror‑filled nights under Jason's relentless hunt. Each round starts with drawing survival tools from the camp bag: cast‑iron pans, gasoline, cleavers, flashlights and more. These items can be combined for points or to trigger fear cards that let you dodge Jason's attacks. The Push Your Luck mechanic forces you to decide how far to reach for more items; the deeper you go, the better the combos, but also the higher the chance of a deadly mishap.
On top of set collection, the Take That element lets you steal supplies from other players or sabotage their plans, keeping tension high. Every night the clock ticks down, shrinking everyone’s odds of making it out alive, so you must balance hoarding for the future against using resources now. The game runs about 60 minutes, has light rules (weight 1.5/5), and vivid components that capture the 80‑s slasher vibe. It’s perfect for fans of nostalgic horror, dark humor and fast decisions, but not for those who prefer calm, non‑conflict experiences. In short, it blends press‑your‑luck, set collection, and player‑vs‑player sabotage into a frantic, fun‑filled horror night.
