In Thesauros, meaning 'Treasure' in classical Greek, you step into the shoes of a salvage company head, on a quest for sunken riches. Your goal is to outshine rivals by locating lost treasures at sea, retrieving them, and then selling them to the museum to gain profit and, crucially, reputation. This isn't a simple task; it demands investing in cutting-edge technologies for your expeditions, equipping your crew with the best gear, hiring new workers, and training them to become true experts in their fields. You'll need to collect treasure maps, charter speedy boats to reach dive sites, and brave the ocean depths, perhaps even encountering a shark! Furthermore, sponsoring the opening of new museum exhibition halls and advertising your company are vital for your reputation. And, of course, impeccable financial management is key, not forgetting to stash some cash in your 'slush fund' for emergencies. At the end of three in-game years, or nine intense rounds, the player with the highest reputation will be crowned the master of sunken treasures. Prepare for a strategic adventure where every decision counts!
