Welcome to Tortuga 2199, where classic pirate themes meet the future! In this deck-building, exploration, and area control game for 2 to 4 players, you take on the role of a space pirate captain, navigating the dangerous sectors of Tortuga, a former Interstellar Confederation mining colony. The planet, now under the control of insurgents and pirate clans, is a melting pot of aggressive environments and wild fauna, located in the neutral zone of the Omega sector. Your objective is simple yet challenging: become the most influential captain and unite the pirate clans under your flag. To achieve this, you'll need to upgrade your ship, recruit a formidable crew, explore and conquer different sectors of the planet, and, of course, battle space creatures and board the ships of rival captains. Every victory increases your influence and brings you closer to total domination. The deck-building mechanic is central, with your card choices directly impacting your ability to control areas. For instance, controlling the mines might give you valuable resources, but you might have to forego more aggressive cards found in the fortress. Each game, the modular board ensures a new configuration, keeping exploration fresh. Inside the box, you'll find spaceship miniatures, tokens, counters, and over 150 cards to bring this intergalactic adventure to life. Prepare yourself, captain, and may the space wind fill your sails!
