About the game
What you do in a play session
Trailblazers: Travel Edition is a portable card game that puts you in the shoes of a daring adventurer, creating hiking, biking, and kayaking routes from your campsite. Each round, you're dealt eight trail cards, pick two, and pass the rest along — a closed drafting mechanic that demands strategy and adaptability. Cards can be placed adjacent or overlapping, and the challenge is to form closed loops that start and end at the same campsite to score. The longer and more elaborate the loop, the more points you earn, but beware: only completed loops count! There are also goal cards that reward the first to complete certain routes or end-game conditions. With network building, set collection, and a dash of push-your-luck, Trailblazers is quick (30 minutes), easy to learn, and comes in a compact case with a carabiner — perfect for travel. The Travel Edition includes the Animals expansion and two solo modes, but if you want more content, the Standard and Deluxe editions support up to 8 players and include additional expansions.
