Magoria's magic is back, and Dahlgaard's Academy is opening its doors! After the grand contest for the Trickerion Stone, the city is experiencing a new golden age, full of promising illusionists. However, the Great Dahlgaard is on his deathbed without the power of the stone, and his last will is for his old manor to be restored to become the Academy of Magoria, a center of excellence in tricks and illusions. His Heir calls upon the most talented magicians to contribute to this restoration, and the name of the greatest contributor will be immortalized as the Patron of Magoria. This expansion supercharges the Trickerion universe with a host of incredible new features. The Academy is a new location where players can invest coins to renovate rooms, gaining Fame and opening Classrooms and Practice Rooms. In these spaces, Academy markers can be placed to increase trick yield or grant special abilities, while tricks taught in Classrooms generate a passive bonus each round. The Academy is also the perfect place to train your Protegé, a new type of specialist who accompanies your Magician. Protegés start with basic abilities but can be developed to have up to 3 action points, like the main Magician, and powerful abilities, though their salary also increases! Four new charismatic Magicians, one for each school of illusion (Mechanical, Optical, Escape, and Spiritual), arrive to challenge veterans, each with their own backstory and special ability. And for those who enjoy solo play, the expansion brings the 'Dahlgaard's Heir' mode, with an engaging narrative where the Heir has succumbed to the power of the Trickerion Stone, and you must prove your magical superiority to remove him from power. This solo mode features an automated and challenging opponent with varied difficulty levels, ideal for testing even the most seasoned magicians.
