About the game
Get ready for a desert adventure! In Tuareg, you and your friends take on the roles of Tuareg nomads, busy loading camels with precious goods like water, gold, salt, and grain to cross the Sahara towards the next oasis. The goal is simple: be the one who arrives with the most valuable resources and, of course, makes the most profit. But beware, the journey isn't easy! Other nomads might be hiding treasures in secret caves or even stealing your clientele with better offers. The game is divided into two stages, where the main competition is for the majority of resources. At the end of each stage, whoever has the most of each item, as well as having played special cards well (like donkeys, caves, thieves, and maps), gets the points. To start, some special cards are laid out, and two resource cards go to the market. On your turn, you can draw cards, load your camels (each with its own loading rules, mind you! Water doesn't mix, and gold has limits!), or take up to four cards of the same type from the market. Want more space or an advantage? Buy special cards by spending resources. They give you more storage space, a chance to steal from opponents, or even bonus points. When the resource deck runs out, we play one more turn, sort everything onto camels and into caves, and whoever has the most of each item scores points. Used special cards return to their stacks, and unused ones might be worth a few points. Then, just shuffle everything and repeat the process in the second stage. Whoever accumulates the most points at the end wins this desert race!
