About the game
What you do in a play session
Get ready to build the most awesome theme park in town, whatever it takes! In Unfair, you'll mix crazy themes like Pirates, Robots, Vampires, Jungle, Ninjas, and Gangsters to create the park of your dreams (or nightmares!). The goal is to rack up the most points, whether by building gigantic attractions with wild upgrades, completing secret blueprints, or simply stuffing your pockets with cash. But watch out! Your rivals won't stand idly by: they might bribe inspectors to shut down your hottest rides or hire some thugs to cause chaos in your park. Each round, you'll manage your hand of cards, decide whether to take a loan (with its inherent risks!), and pick the best attractions and upgrades from an open drafting pool. The game spans 8 rounds, and at each step, you can recruit staff, build super-powered attractions, and even dabble in a bit of political maneuvering. In the end, the one with the highest-scoring and (perhaps) least vandalized park claims victory. It's a card game with economic twists and a 'take that' element that guarantees laughs and plenty of 'oh no!' moments.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers before you buy
What is the average playtime for 2 players?
For 2 players, a game typically lasts between 50 to 90 minutes, depending on familiarity with the rules and decision-making speed.
Is the game very complex? Is it good for beginners?
Unfair has a medium weight (2.72/5 on BGG). The basic rules are accessible, but the interactions and strategies might require a few plays to master. It's more suitable for those with some board game experience.
How many rounds are in the game?
The game is divided into 8 rounds. Each round has its action phases, and at the end of the eighth round, the game concludes and scores are tallied.
Do I need anything extra to play?
Originally, Unfair is a card game with physical components. If you get the Print & Play version, you'll need to print and assemble the cards and other elements. No other components are needed besides what comes with the game (or what you print).
Is the theme of theme parks well represented?
Yes! The mix of themes (Pirates, Robots, etc.) and the construction of attractions with upgrades, along with opponents' dirty tricks, capture the idea of a chaotic and competitive theme park well.
Is the player interaction very aggressive?
Unfair features 'Take That' mechanics, where players can harm each other. This interaction is a core part of the game, but it can be lighter or heavier depending on the cards played and strategies employed.
