About the game

What you do in a play session

Get ready for a cute, but not at all peaceful, dispute in the Golden Carrot Kingdom! In Usagyuuun!!! Coup, the apparent peace between the Usagyuuun (bunnies) and Nekogyuuun (kitties) hides a cold war for power and, of course, the tastiest carrots. Your goal is to be the last one to maintain your influence, represented by secret character cards. Each player starts with two carrots and two influences. The deck has 15 cards, with three copies of five unique characters, each with a special power: the Duke (takes 3 carrots), the Assassin (pays 3 carrots to eliminate an opponent), the Contessa (blocks assassination), the Captain (steals 2 carrots or prevents theft), and the Ambassador (exchanges secret cards). On your turns, you can use any character's action, even if you don't have them, but beware: if you're challenged and can't prove you have the character, you lose an influence (turn a card face-up). If both cards are flipped, you're out! Basic actions like Income (1 carrot), Foreign Aid (2 carrots), and Coup (7 carrots, forces an opponent to lose influence) are also available. If you have 10 or more carrots, Coup is mandatory! A variant with the Inquisitor allows you to investigate or force opponents to reveal cards. It's a fast-paced game full of bluffing, perfect for those who enjoy deceiving friends and walking away with all the carrots!
