About the game

What you do in a play session

Get ready for a buzz of strategy in Hornet! In this area control game, you and your friends take on the roles of ambitious wasps, each aiming to collect the most valuable nectar and turn it into golden honey. The board is a vibrant mosaic of flower fields and nests, assembled in a modular fashion to ensure each game is a new adventure. Each round, everyone secretly chooses an action card. The tension builds as the cards are revealed simultaneously, and actions are resolved in numerical order. The trick? Each card has multiple uses, and you need to decide which of your wasps will execute the task, whether it's collecting nectar or defending your nest. The goal is to dominate the nests by accumulating honey. Whoever conquers three nests first, or whoever has the most honey at the end after conquering two nests, takes the trophy (or the honey pot!). Hornet shines in player interaction, requiring you to think a few steps ahead and, perhaps, even bluff your opponents a little. It's a game that combines tactical planning with moments of pure fun and a touch of bluffing. The rules are easy to grasp, the artwork is super pleasant, and the theme is lighthearted, making it a great experience for the whole family, especially for those who enjoy good strategic conflict without complication. If you like games where every decision counts and interaction is key, Hornet might be your new favorite.
