Hey folks! Ready to build the coolest society? In Utopian Rummy, things get serious: you and one friend will compete to attract the best "Jobs" to your settlement. Each "Job" you recruit not only grants you a special ability to use right away but also scores points at the end of the "Age." Some "Jobs" give you an extra hand, filling your hand with cards (like Hunters & Farmers), while others are true goldmines for end-game points (watch out for Elders & Story Tellers!). The turn is quick and straightforward: first, you "Explore" the deck, drawing a new card. Then, you "Expand" your society by playing a set of three matching "Jobs" to recruit a new one. Finally, you "Decay," discarding what's left. The game was designed to be fast-paced, full of interesting decisions, and most importantly, fun. Oh, and heads up: it was reimplemented as Plato 3000, so if you see that name, it's the same game!
It's a two-player game, quick (around 30 minutes), with light complexity (weight 1.5/5), ideal for those who enjoy card games with a touch of strategy and set collection. Perfect for a quick and smart match between friends who like to plan and optimize their moves.
