About the game
What you do in a play session
Vast: The Mysterious Manor plunges you into a centuries‑abandoned manor where each player controls a completely asymmetric role. You might be the devout Paladin seeking redemption by slaying the giant Spider, the murderous Skeletons defending the estate, the Spider itself trying to reclaim its former glory, the Manor manipulating the very terrain, or the Enchanter who bends the minds of the others. Every faction comes with unique powers, its own set of pieces and a distinct path to victory, ensuring only one winner. The board is modular and built during play with tiles that can be added or deformed, forming corridors, secret rooms and dynamic traps. Movement takes place on a square grid using Action Points and Movement Points, while Line of Sight determines who can target whom. Hand Management of cards decides when to unleash powers or resources, and turn order follows the role order rather than a fixed player order. The game blends race, exploration and adventure, featuring Tile Placement, Map Addition and Deformation, and Variable Player Powers for deep strategic depth. Supporting 1‑5 players, games run 60‑120 minutes and have a moderate complexity (weight 3.75/5). In addition to solo mode, countless role combinations provide high replayability. The box contains a board frame, tiles, detailed miniatures and translated cards, all designed for an immersive, tense experience each play. It is compatible with other Vast titles such as The Crystal Caverns and The Fearsome Foes, further expanding the dark universe.
