About the game
Warmachine is a steampunk wargame where you command an army led by a warcaster — a powerful soldier-sorcerer who controls warjacks, steam-powered war machines fueled by magic. Picture tanks with giant swords and cannons, but with a dark fantasy twist. Each warcaster has unique abilities and a once-per-game power that can turn the tide at a critical moment. Warjacks are walking destruction, but they’re expensive, so you’ll need to balance your army with infantry troops, from grunts to specialists like repair crews or spellcasters. The focus point mechanic adds strategy: do you spend this magical energy to power warjacks, cast spells, or save it for defense? The game rewards aggression — hiding behind barricades rarely works. Expect intense battles where a critical hit or well-timed ability can decide everything. And yes, the miniatures are awesome (painting them is half the fun).
