About the game
What you do in a play session
Wars of the Age is a flexible rule system for fantasy mass battles, where you command armies in epic clashes. Each unit (1-8 combatants) occupies hexes on the board with basic attributes like quality and advantage — the latter represented by a d8 die that can stack into overwhelming combat edges. Combat uses two dice types: a polyhedral for unit quality and another for situational advantage. With mechanics like line of sight, interrupts, and variable setups, each game is a fresh tactical challenge. If you've ever dreamed of leading legions of elves, dwarves, or mythical creatures in battles worthy of a movie, this game is for you. Plays 1-6 players in sessions ranging from 90 minutes (quick skirmishes) to 4 hours (full-scale wars).
