In Noboribetsu, a famous hot spring town in southern Hokkaido, Oni (demons) aren't villains—they're protectors. They watch over visitors, keeping them from falling into the boiling waters of Hell Valley (Jigokudani). In Welcome Demons, you take on the role of these Oni in a 3-player card game with a twist. Here, the goal isn't just to play classic card combinations but to use your Oni cards to 'protect' Visitors, each with their own requirements. Everyone has the same set of Visitors, and the challenge is to use your hand of Oni cards to rescue as many as possible before the game ends. The player who falls behind in the rescue mission loses. Get ready for a quick (20-30 min) experience full of strategic decisions and a unique theme blending Japanese folklore with creative mechanics.
