About the game
What you do in a play session
A brand‑new galaxy has been discovered on the Empire’s frontier, and you’re at the helm of a starship ready to explore this cosmic Eldorado. Each planet you visit yields resources, mysteries, and, most importantly, chances to strengthen your crew. You can hire specialists, robots, and even attract Imperial emissaries who hand you credit‑paying missions. At its core, Wild Space is a tactical card game where the goal is to build efficient combos. Every turn presents two straightforward choices: add a card to your tableau (the "Crew") or draw new cards. When you play a card, its ability only triggers if the conditions required by the cards already in your Crew are met, creating a cause‑and‑effect puzzle. Thus, placing cards serves both to gain immediate powers and to set up conditions for more powerful effects later. Hand management and set collection are vital—you’ll hunt for cards that complement each other, forming groups that grant end‑game bonuses. The amount of credits you need to win depends on your Crew’s composition, making the optimal set the key to victory. Games are quick (15‑40 minutes) with easy‑to‑learn rules, yet deep enough for combo‑loving players. In addition to a solo mode, up to five players can compete simultaneously, each striving to assemble the most profitable Crew. Variable set‑up ensures every play feels fresh. If you enjoy card games with combos, a space‑exploration theme, and a dash of anthropomorphic animal charm, Wild Space will hook you from the first turn.
