About the game
What you do in a play session
Get ready to take off into thrilling aerial combat with *Wings of War: Fire from the Sky*, the second wave of aircraft for the acclaimed World War II series! This game features a fast and furious system, perfect for those already familiar with *Wings of War* who want to dive into the action in minutes, but also super accessible for newcomers. It brilliantly simulates aerial confrontations, even with planes of very different flight capabilities and firepower, while maintaining the simplicity and fluidity of combat that the series already delivered in World War I. The maneuver cards and the combat deck system have been enhanced to ensure historical accuracy without overcomplicating things for the pilots on duty.
With *Fire from the Sky*, you can recreate everything from classic dogfights to bombing missions, escorts, and an endless variety of aerial combat scenarios from World War II. The game introduces iconic new fighters, such as the Curtiss P-40 Tomahawk (including the famous Flying Tigers liveries!), Airacobra, Yak 1, Reggiane Re.2001 Falco II, and Hien, covering various battlefronts. The big news includes anti-aircraft guns in ground nests and three different dive bombers: the feared Stuka for the Axis, the Japanese Val, and the Dauntless for US and French forces. The contents of this set allow up to six planes to be in combat simultaneously, supporting scenarios for 1 to 6 players. It's the perfect expansion for anyone looking for more variety and depth in their dogfights!
