Yggdrasill

Prepare yourself to dive into the heart of Norse mythology with Yggdrasill! This is an epic strategic duel for two players, where the fate of the world hangs in the balance. On one side, we have the hero faction: Vikings and the gods of Asgard, who need a little extra help to save existence. Their goal is to traverse perilous landscapes, such as stone forests and turbulent seas, to reach the top of the sacred Yggdrasill tree and defeat the giant serpent Jormungard. If they succeed, victory is theirs! On the other side, we face the force of chaos: evil gods and monsters who will do anything to stop this advance and eliminate the heroes from the game.

The journey begins strategically: the Vikings start with limited resources and must prove their worth to summon divine aid, whether by sailing to Asgard or defeating fearsome creatures like Trwyth. Once the gods enter the fray, the board transforms into a dynamic battlefield full of possibilities. The map is vast and divided into various biomes—mountains, rivers, and forests—where you can explore and find magical items or even attend magic schools to learn powerful spells.

Combat is direct and thrilling: you choose between using your physical strength or your magical power, roll the dice, and see who wins the duel. But beware, as wounds can be fatal and character elimination is a real possibility. With dozens of characters, each with distinct strength and magic attributes, and event cards that change the course of the story every round, no game of Yggdrasill is ever the same. It is a dense experience with a touch of RPG, perfect for those who love epic narratives and want to feel the weight of every decision in a classic fantasy setting.
