About the game

What you do in a play session

Ready to design a truly unique zebra? In Zebra, that's exactly the goal: each player gets a sheet to draw their own zebra's stripe pattern, aiming to stand out from the crowd and, of course, score big! It's a super quick game (just 20 minutes!) playable by up to 4 people, or even solo if you enjoy a personal challenge.

Here's how it works: each round, a card is flipped, revealing a geometric shape (a polyomino). All players simultaneously grab their sheets and draw that shape. The catch is you need to fit these shapes into one of the four different pattern areas on your sheet. You can rotate and flip the shape however you like, but be careful: a shape cannot share an edge with another shape of the same pattern. If you can't or don't want to draw, you can pass and fill an enclosed space with circles, but this might cost points later. If you fail to draw or pass, you get an 'X'. Three 'X's? Game over for you!

At the end, whoever has assembled the highest-scoring pattern, with the most stylish and well-distributed stripes, wins. It's a fast-paced game that requires some spatial reasoning and planning to optimize each drawing and not get lost in the scoring rules. Perfect for those who enjoy 'flip-and-write' games and want something light for any occasion.
