About the game
What you do in a play session
Zooloretto Junior is the most accessible version of the acclaimed Zooloretto, winner of the Spiel des Jahres in 2007, and was designed for kids to have a blast. Just like in the original game, each player takes on the role of a zoo director, but here the mission is much more straightforward: bring new animals to your park and arrange landscape tiles in the enclosures. At the end of the game, whoever has the best-assembled zoo with the happiest animals (i.e., the most points) wins!
This edition is a standalone game, with super simplified rules, shorter playtimes, and fewer components, all to ensure that kids can play without complications. Released in 2016, Zooloretto Junior is practically identical to Zooloretto Mini, with a few minor differences that don't affect the core gameplay: different cover art, the absence of a bag to hold the tiles, and the inclusion of a panda disc instead of a panda figurine. It's the perfect entry point for little ones into the world of set collection and tile placement board games, with a theme everyone loves: animals and zoos!
