About the game

What you do in a play session

Prepare to delve into the dark mysteries of Arkham, where bizarre creatures lurk and people disappear without a trace. In Arkham Codex, you take on the role of a lone investigator, tasked with stopping the awakening of ancient gods and preventing chaos from taking over. This is a solo card game, played with a 54-card deck, where your main challenge is to assemble specific sets to confront a cosmic entity. Your mission is to complete three distinct sets – The City, The Cult, and The Gate – each requiring six cards that meet particular criteria and restrictions. If you manage to stabilize and finalize all three sets by the end of a round, victory is yours, and the ancient god is defeated. But beware, the path is treacherous! If two sets become unstable at any point and remain so until the end of the following round, defeat is immediate. Furthermore, if the main deck needs to be reshuffled again, indicating that the ancient god is about to awaken, the game ends in failure. And, to top it off, if a third set needs to be started in 'The Void', you instantly lose. Arkham Codex promises a tense and strategic experience, where every decision in hand management and set collection can be the difference between saving Arkham or succumbing to madness.
