Get ready for a watery, duck-filled adventure in 'Aw, Ducks!', a quick 'push-your-luck' game that will make you think twice before drawing the next card. Ideal for 2 to 4 players with games lasting between 10 and 20 minutes, it's perfect for a casual play session. The objective is simple: accumulate the most points before the deck runs out, either in a single round or over several, until a predetermined score is reached. The deck consists of numbered cards (1 to 6) in various colors—red, yellow, green, blue, purple, and black (two of each number per color)—and, of course, the adorable ducks, four of each color (with a rainbow duck instead of black). On each turn, you have three options: draw, score, or discard. If you draw, you take the top card of the deck and place it face-up in your play area. If it's a number, great! But if it's a duck, it will 'eat' all your numbered cards of that color and swim off to the 'Duck Pond' in the center of the table. And the worst part: you keep drawing until you find a number. If you decide to score, all the cards from your play area go into your score pile, face-down, and you can also take ducks whose rules you've met. Each duck color has a specific rule to be scored (e.g., the yellow duck requires 4 numbers in a row, the blue, 5 different colors, and so on). Numbered cards are worth their face value, and each duck gives you +5 points! The action of discarding a card from your play area grants you a special action: 1-2 allows for a 'Safe Draw' (two cards without duck risk); 3-4 gives you a 'Quick Quack' (three cards and score immediately!); and 5-6 is a 'Secret Stash' (place the top two cards from the draw deck directly onto your score pile and then score your tableau!). The key to victory is being clever and deciding the right moment to score and use your actions. Will you risk one more card or secure your points?
