About the game
What you do in a play session
Poten is a fast and fun card game where you need to form sets of 4+ cards with the same color or animal paw print. Each turn is a strategic decision: buy from the market or risk a blind draw? Discard useless cards and keep an eye on 'doublers' for extra actions. But beware: cards not in sets are worth negative points! With simple hand management and set collection mechanics, Poten is perfect for quick 5-15 minute matches. The game ends when doublers run out or everyone passes — then comes the scoring, where each set is worth gold (or close to it). Pro tip: shoe size doesn’t define skill, but in Poten, the smallest foot starts first!
