About the game
What you do in a play session
In 'Babylon', you step into the shoes of a renowned architect in 6th century BCE Babylon, tasked with creating the magnificent Hanging Gardens for Queen Amytis. The game challenges you to dig the quarry for the finest materials and use them wisely to build your creation. Each turn, you select a terrace tile from the central quarry and collect pillars, which are then used to place the tile on your personal board. The goal is to adorn your garden with various decorative elements, building terraces that rise floor by floor. The more beautifully decorated your garden, the more victory points you accumulate by the end of the game. The game box, representing the quarry, is a central element on the table. 'Babylon' blends the simplicity of a puzzle with the strategic depth of optimization games, appealing to both families and experienced gamers. The three-dimensional construction and strategic tile placement offer an engaging visual and tactical experience, where every decision counts towards becoming the most acclaimed architect in the kingdom.
