What you do in a play session

Battle Above the Clouds is the eighth game in the acclaimed Great Campaigns of the American Civil War (GCACW) series. This time, the game explores the western theater of the war, covering the Chickamauga and Chattanooga campaigns of 1863. With hexagon grid mechanics, you'll command regiments and divisions in strategic battles that require planning and tactics. The game includes seven basic scenarios, from minor skirmishes to major battles, plus two advanced scenarios covering longer campaign periods. New terrain types, such as hills and ridges, have been added to represent the rugged terrain of the region. The game comes with colorful maps, reference charts, unit counters, and dice, all designed to provide an immersive and detailed experience.
