About the game

What you do in a play session

Blokus is a classic abstract strategy game that will make you rack your brain, but in a super fun way! Imagine a competitive Tetris where you aim to dominate the board. Each player receives a set of 21 colored pieces, all with different shapes, reminiscent of the famous video game's blocks. The objective is simple: fit as many of your pieces as possible onto the 20x20 square board. But here's the twist: your pieces can only be placed so that they touch *only* at the corners other pieces of your own color already on the board. They cannot touch side-by-side! This creates an incredible tactical challenge, as you need to plan your moves not only to expand your territory but also to block opponents. The game ends when no one can place any more pieces. The player with the fewest remaining squares in their unused pieces wins! It's an easy game to learn, but with a strategic depth that keeps you hooked for many plays. Perfect for those who enjoy thinking ahead and love a good spatial puzzle.
