Get ready to transform a botanical garden into a work of art in Gazebo, a game where you'll fill the beds with fragrant flowers, lush foliage, and serene waters, while strategically placing your gazebos amidst these beauties and atop coveted patios. Each turn, players place dominoes on the shared garden map to create 'nooks' – which are groups of two or more contiguous terrain spaces of the same type, such as flowers, foliage, or water. When you form one of these nooks, you immediately place one of your gazebos there. If you manage to connect your nook to a patio, you can claim it and place another gazebo. But make no mistake, the tranquility of the garden hides fierce competition! Larger nooks can swallow smaller ones, and patios can be snatched by clever rivals. The first player to run out of gazebos on the board is the grand winner. Gazebo is a modern reinterpretation of Reiner Knizia's classic Qin, bringing several innovations to the table. It refines how dominoes are drawn, reducing luck and increasing strategic tension. There's a greater variety of maps and features, deepening tactics with Zen spaces, vases, and pedestals. Conflicts are intensified with more valuable areas to dispute, and a new four-player partnership mode promises even more fun. All of this comes in a more compact and portable package, with a beautifully illustrated gardening theme by Alisha Giroux, making it accessible and charming.
