About the game
Imagine you're on an icy expedition and your only goal is to attract as much cuteness as possible. In Blue Penguin, the mission is simple, but the strategy is where the fun happens: you want the smallest penguins because, let's face it, they are the cutest! However, there's a catch: nature is tricky, and the small penguins rarely travel alone; they usually follow the bigger ones.

The game begins by arranging five colors on the table (blue, purple, red, orange, and yellow), each associated with a cuteness value ranging from 2 down to -2. This creates an interesting dilemma: some colors give plenty of points, while others can actually subtract them! With two cards in your hand, you and your friends play penguin cards (numbered 1 to 60). Whoever plays the highest card wins the round and collects all the penguins on the table for their collection. If playing as a duo, the struggle is even more intense, as each player plays two cards before the winner is determined.

The secret here is hand management. You don't want to waste your giant penguins on rounds that aren't worth it, but if you're too cautious, you might miss the chance to grab that super valuable color. Once all the penguin cards have been played, it's time to sum up the cuteness points based on the colors collected. Whoever has the highest score is crowned the master of cuteness! And if you want to spice things up, there's a variant where you shuffle the cuteness values, making the competition unpredictable since you no longer know which color is the best. It's a fast, light game, perfect for those who want something strategic without having to read a 50-page manual.
